Regional Coordination
Environmental Technical Advisory Committee
The Environmental Technical Advisory Committee is a regional committee of local environmental and planning staff as well as other stakeholders. Meetings serve as a unique forum for regional discussion and coordination. The committee also provides feedback on PlanRVA projects and work plan development.
The committee meets approximately four times per year. Meeting topics are intended to be timely and relevant; they are intended to provide opportunities for locality staff education or training. Topics of presentation and discussion have included: coastal resource management issues, recreation planning, state initiatives or programs and links between environmental planning and land use or economic development.
