Karen joined PlanRVA during summer 2023 as a Finance Assistant. She oversees many different aspects at PlanRVA including, accounting, agency purchasing and procurement, grants support, financial reporting, payroll, human resources and benefits administration. Her favorite part of being a member of PlanRVA is the work life balance, as well as the friendly and welcoming work environment.

In her spare time, Karen often travels to visit her family in Maryland and enjoys visits to Byrd Park with her Pit Bull Terrier, Rhino. As an avid Caribbean food lover, she loves Jamaica House on Broad St and often explores other restaurants in the RVA area.
