Supporting Affordable Housing in the Richmond Region
PlanRVA seeks public input on a grant application to support affordable housing in the Richmond region. The application is for funding through a Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The PRO Housing grant will provide funding for communities across the country to identify and remove barriers to affordable housing production and preservation.
PlanRVA has worked in partnership with the Partnership for Housing Affordability (PHA) to develop the application for grant funding. If funded, this application envisions pursuing work to further the Richmond Regional Housing Framework including working toward several of the Framework’s Goals and Solutions, and exploring opportunities to expand the Framework to additional localities within the Richmond region. The Richmond Regional Housing Framework was developed in 2019 with a process that included many community engagement activities.
The full proposed grant application is available here.
