Rural Transportation Analysis Wins National Award
PlanRVA’s Rural Transportation Analysis has won the 2025 Excellence in Regional Transportation Awards from the National Association of Development Organizations (NADO), and their affiliate, Rural Planning Organizations of America (RPO America).
The award recognizes noteworthy projects and practices in rural, small metropolitan, and larger areas that help meet regional needs through various program areas. These include:
-Bicycle and pedestrian planning
-Environmental linkages
-Equity
-Project implementation
-Public involvement
-Resilience
-Safety
-Transit
The 2025 awardees consists of 14 projects spanning 13 states. PlanRVA was honored for and asked to present on the community engagement portion of this work at the National Regional
Transportation Conference in Des Moines, Iowa, in July 2025.
