Transportation impacts everyone, and we should all be part of the regional planning conversation.

The 2024 Transportation Forum on the morning of Friday, March 15, 2024, focuses on how the community can engage in regional transit planning.

Will you join us?

Organized by PlanRVA, the Richmond Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RRTPO), Central Virginia Transportation Authority (CVTA), and ChamberRVA, the Transportation Forum is the official kick off the Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). The plan guides the region’s transportation investments for all modes of travel including highways, roads, trails and pedestrian infrastructure.

The area’s infrastructure projects – from the Fall Line Trail and extensions to Bus Rapid Transit, to shared used paths and roundabouts – are all informed through public engagement and the LRTP.

“We’re focused on improving access, safety, and quality of life for people living in the Richmond region,” said Myles Busching, Director of Transportation. “Public feedback is a critical part of this process.”

We invite you to attend the Transportation Forum to hear stories of why transportation matters, and to help us engage the wider community as we update the Long-Range Transportation Plan.

In addition to an overview of the LRTP process, the Forum will include personal stories of how transportation impacts the Richmond region, and a hands-on activity for YOU to share your
