Well Installation and Abandonment
The Richmond Regional Planning District Commission (PlanRVA) is requesting bids for the installation and abandonment of a well system at a residence in Charles City County. Funding is provided to PlanRVA from Federal Funds issued under a grant from the Virginia Department of Health’s Septic and Well Assistance Program (SWAP).
Bidders are required to:
- Provide a total cost for completing the installation
- Submit a detailed budget breakdown for the site
Note: Partial payments will not be issued. Invoices should not be submitted until all work and paperwork for the respective site is finalized.
The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and materials to complete the services described.
Each installation must result in a private water well that complies with the Virginia Private Well Regulations (12VAC5-630-10 et seq.), including requirements for location, construction standards, water quantity, and water quality.
