Mo Nyamweya
CVTA Executive Assistant
EmailMo Nyamweya serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director at the Central Virginia Transportation Authority (CVTA), where she provides high-level administrative and communications support to help advance the Authority’s mission of funding transportation projects throughout central Virginia. In this role, she coordinates board and committee meetings, supports public communications, and serves as a liaison between the Executive Director and key stakeholders.
Mo brings a background in project management, higher education, and public service to her work at CVTA. Most recently, she served as a Program Coordinator at the VCU School of Business, and she has held past roles with nonprofit organizations and government offices. With a passion for mission-driven work, she is excited to use her skills to support transportation projects that help our region grow and thrive. She is also eager to continue developing her administrative skill set while gaining deeper insight into how local governments and regional partnerships work together.
A proud two-time graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Mo holds a B.A. in Political Science and a M.Sc. in Business with a concentration in Global Marketing Management. Originally from Virginia Beach, she moved to Richmond over a decade ago and now calls the city home. Outside of work, she enjoys reading science fiction, watching films, attending concerts, and going to community events. Her favorite local restaurant is Lucky AF.
