Martha joined PlanRVA in 2015 and is focused on ensuring the organization runs effectively. She supports staff in ownership of their work and builds partnerships across sectors for the entire region. Martha enjoys seeing the connections across each PlanRVA program and how the work lays a foundation for localities to build upon for completing regional projects and improving the community.

When she’s not in the office, Martha loves to spend time outside and with close friends and family. A few of her favorite Richmond spots to visit include Byrd Park and Carytown and dining at her favorite restaurant The Stables.

Martha earned her master’s in Public Administration from George Mason University. She is on the National Association for Development Organizations (NADO) Board of Directors for the 2024 – 2026 Term and the Council of Peers for SouthEast Regional Directors Institute (SERDI). She is a 2018 graduate of Lead Virginia and a representative to the Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions (VAPDC) and serves on the board of Partnership for Housing Affordability and ChamberRVA.
